last updated: september 11, 2026

Sonderlynd ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website sonderlynd.com and its brands, including Skyfisher Studios, Living Arts Press, Alexander's Playhouse, and Ides Portrait (collectively, the "Services").

Please read all policies carefully before using our Services, making a purchase, buying tickets, booking a session, or participating in a production. If you do not agree with the terms of any policy below, please do not access the site.

What Information We Collect

We collect information about you in a variety of ways when you interact with any of our Services, including our websites, digital product checkouts, ticket purchases, session bookings, online galleries, productions, and email communications.

Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number, that you voluntarily give to us when you purchase digital products or tickets, book a portrait session, make a donation, subscribe to our newsletters, or contact us directly.

Ticketing Data (Alexander's Playhouse): When you buy tickets to a performance, we collect the name on the order, your contact information, and the performance and seats you selected. All tickets are held at Will Call under the purchaser's name, and we may ask you to confirm your name or show identification when you pick up your tickets.

Participant Data (Alexander's Playhouse and Skyfisher Studios): If you audition, perform, work on a crew, or volunteer for a stage or film production, we collect the information you provide on audition and participation forms. This may include your name, contact information, age or date of birth, headshots, résumés, availability and schedule conflicts, emergency contact information, and signed release forms. For participants under 18, we also collect the name and contact information of a parent or guardian and their written consent.

Portrait Client Data (Ides Portrait): When you book a session, whether through our website or a booking link we email to you, we collect your name, contact information, the session type, date, and location, and any details you share to help us plan your session. For weddings, this may include your wedding date, venue, schedule, and the names of family members or wedding party members to be photographed. We also create and store the photographs taken during your session, which may include you, your family, and your children.

Photographs and Recordings: We may photograph, film, or record performances, rehearsals, film shoots, portrait sessions, and events. These images and recordings may include cast members, crew, volunteers, portrait clients, and audience members.

Accessibility Requests: If you request an accommodation to attend or participate in a performance or production, you may choose to share information about your needs, which may include health-related information. We ask only for what we need to arrange the accommodation.

Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access our Services, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the site.

Financial Data: Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date), that we collect when you purchase digital products or tickets, pay a session deposit or invoice, or make a donation. We do not store full credit card data. Online transactions are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Ides Portrait clients may also pay by cash or check; if you pay by check, we handle the banking information printed on it only to deposit your payment.

How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Services to:

  • Deliver your purchased digital products, including scripts, production kits, and printable resources, to your email inbox.
  • Process ticket purchases and hold your tickets at Will Call.
  • Schedule and manage portrait sessions, send booking links and invoices, collect deposits, and deliver your photos through an online gallery.
  • Administer your account and manage your orders, payments, donations, and refunds.
  • Schedule auditions, communicate casting decisions, and coordinate rehearsals, film shoots, performances, and volunteer shifts.
  • Contact your emergency contact, or a minor's parent or guardian, if a situation requires it.
  • Arrange accessibility accommodations you have requested.
  • List cast, crew, and volunteer names and biographies in programs, film credits, and promotional materials.
  • Produce, edit, distribute, and promote our films.

  • Increase the efficiency and operation of our websites.
  • Assist law enforcement and respond to subpoenas if legally required.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations, primarily to keep our business running smoothly:

Third-Party Service Providers: We share data with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing, invoicing, ticketing, session booking, online gallery hosting, data analysis, email delivery, website hosting, and customer service.

Film Distribution (Skyfisher Studios): Our films may be submitted to film festivals and distributed through streaming services and other platforms. When this happens, the film itself, along with cast and crew names as they appear in the credits and related promotional materials, is shared with those festivals, distributors, and platforms. Their handling of that material is governed by their own policies.

Emergencies: We may share participant, client, or patron information with emergency responders or medical personnel if we believe it is necessary to protect someone's health or safety.

Accessibility Information: Information shared in an accessibility request is shared only with the staff and volunteers who need it to provide the accommodation.

By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal processes, to investigate potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.

Photography, Film, and Recordings

Alexander's Playhouse: We may photograph, film, or record performances, rehearsals, and events and use these images in programs, on our websites, on social media, and in other promotional materials. Cast, crew, and volunteers will be asked to sign a media release as part of their participation forms. Audience members who attend a performance acknowledge that they may appear in photographs or recordings of the event.

Skyfisher Studios: Cast, crew, and volunteers will be asked to sign a release before participating in a film production. Because our films may be shown at festivals and distributed on streaming services, anyone who appears in or contributes to a completed film understands that it may be viewed publicly and widely, and that once a film has been completed and distributed, we cannot remove a person's appearance or credit from it.

Ides Portrait: Your photos are delivered through a private online gallery. Anyone you share your gallery link with will be able to view your photos, so please share it with care. We may use images from your session, including images of children, in our portfolio, on our websites, on social media, and in other marketing materials. We often share images on social media the same day as your session or the day after. If you would prefer that your images not be used for marketing, you must tell us when you book, and no later than the start of your session. If you change your mind after your images have been posted, let us know and we will remove them from our websites and social media and will not use them in future marketing.

Military Families: If you or a member of your family serves in the military and your images cannot be released on social media or shared publicly, you must inform your photographer when you book, and no later than the start of your session. Because images are often posted the same day or the day after a session, we have no way of honoring these restrictions unless you tell us in advance.

Removal Requests: If you would like us to remove an image of you (or of your minor child) from our websites or social media, contact the relevant brand using the information below and we will remove it promptly. These requests are handled separately from, and faster than, the formal privacy requests described under Your Privacy Rights. We cannot control copies that others have already shared, downloaded, or reposted, and we cannot recall printed materials that have already been distributed or remove a person from a film that has already been completed and distributed.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on the Services to help customize our sites and improve your experience. When you access our Services, your personal information is not collected through the use of tracking technology alone. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can remove or reject cookies, but be aware that such action could affect the availability and functionality of our checkout, ticketing, booking, and gallery systems.

Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Order, ticket, invoice, deposit, and donation records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Participant information such as audition forms and emergency contacts is kept for one year after the end of the production it relates to, unless you ask us to keep it on file for future productions.

Signed release forms are kept for as long as the related photographs, recordings, or films are in use or in distribution.

Online portrait galleries remain available for one year after delivery. After that, you may request your images, but we cannot guarantee they will still be available.

Accessibility information is deleted after the performance or production it relates to.

You may request earlier deletion at any time, subject to the limits described in this policy.

Children and Minors (COPPA Compliance)

Our websites are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under the age of 13.

Minors may participate in Alexander's Playhouse and Skyfisher Studios productions, classes, and events, and may be photographed during Ides Portrait sessions. In those cases, a parent or guardian provides the minor's information and must consent to their participation, to the collection of their information, and to the use of their photographs, recordings, or film appearances. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us, subject to the limits on completed and distributed films described above.

If you become aware that we have collected information directly from a child under 13 without a parent or guardian's consent, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

The right to access/know: You can request copies of your personal data or ask what data we collect.

The right to rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.

The right to erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions. We may need to keep records required by law, and we cannot erase your appearance from films or printed materials that have already been distributed.

The right to object/opt-out: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails instantly by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send, and you can ask Ides Portrait not to use your images in marketing.

To make a request, email us at info@sonderlynd.com or contact the relevant brand directly. We will respond within 30 days.
